Upper West Side Triplex – H Residence, New York
The project for a family of four consisted of a combination of four apartment units, reconfiguration of the main living / dining spaces, expansion of kitchen area and master ensuite, and refurnishing and decor of the entire 3,500-square feet triplex unit.
The expansion of the kitchen was of upmost importance and was an opportunity for us to elevate this apartment to a whole new level of sophistication with new lacquered painted cabinets, upscale appliances, polished chrome hardware, caesar stone counter top with waterfall edge, backsplash that was made with calacutta gold / thessos chevron-patterned marble tiles, and last but not least, gorgeous milk-glass and polished nickel pendants from Circa Lighting. The kitchen was transformed from a generic cramped kitchen in a city apartment into an inviting and pleasurable place to gather for the family and friends.
The interior furnishing was a stylistic mixture of elegant contemporary and mid-century modern pieces, aimed to create a feeling of calmness and warmth that reflects the clients’ characters. Durable fabrics were selected for the family of two young toddlers. A luxurious and swoon-worthy silk/wool rug contrasted playfully with the hard surface of the existing brick wall, creating an enchanting living room space that is relaxed, yet simultaneously refined.
